Kubota vs. Deere
3 range vs. 2 range hydro
heal/toe vs. twin touch
both are similar in size, the Deere having the bigger frame
Kubota has a lead on HP over the Deere
The Deere has a removable bucket as standard equipment, the Kubota does not
The Deere operates a little smoother
The Deere has position control, the Kubota does not
The Deere has an Independent PTO, the Kubota has a Live PTO
The low range on the Deere is similar to mid range on the Kubota

If you buy the Deere with any 3 point implements make sure you get an imatch, they are the nicest and easiest way to switch between 3 point attachments

They both compare very similarly, the Deere has a few leads but I would figure out which fits you best, which one is most comfortable to operate. :thumbsup: By then you will have made the decision whether Green or Orange is your color of choice. :thumbsup:

Have JD sorted their FWD engagement problem on the 2520 range ?

I looked at both when I was shopping and chose the 2920. My neighbor brought over his 2520 and I parked the 2920 next to it and was surprised at how much larger the 2520 is compared to the 2920. The size and weight have definite advantages in digging. You have to have some weight on the tractor to get the bucket into the ground. I also think that the 2520 is a lot quieter in the hydrostatic when going up hills, as the Kubota is very whinny. I like the 3 speed range of the Kubota, and have had it in some very tight corners where I don't think the 2520 would fit.

Look at the price hard, as their both VERY good tractors. Also, look at their dealers. To me those two would be the deciding factors.
