I have been mowing with a
B3030 with a 60" deck now for 4 seasons and I love it. I mow about 120,000 SF about every 5 days. I have loaded rear tires and a very wet lawn. It was very wet here in the early spring and the tractor did leave indentations in a few areas. Not to worry though, they went away without issue.
I like the ground contact deck over the deck I had on my
BX23. My BX floating deck always scalped on the down hill side of my cross slopes, the ground contact deck does not. The cut looks just as good as my neighbor's ZT Scag.
I find it to be plenty nimble around the house and around obstacles mowing. I love it and wouldn't change a thing.
There was a comment about using 4wd while mowing. With my BX I had to use 4wd 100% of the time becuase of grade of my yard, however, with the 3030 and loaded rears I only use 4wd when it is very wet and I don't want to tear up the lawn going up or down hill, but 9 times out of 10 I use 2wd and have perfect traction.
