A friend of mine has one and cannot find were to add hyd.fluid....
How does he know if he needs to add fluid? No manual? The fill is the red cap with the vent tube to the right of the dipstick. Funny since they are right next to each other! Philip.
He had been working on an old backhoe attachment and had blowed out hyd.fluid a cple times,he just figured it had to be low...
No manual he purchased it used and didnt come with one.
I will call and get year on it,but its around 10yrs old,its not setup like yours philip but thanks.
The older models didn't have a dipstick like shown in PHILLIP8N's picture, but the red filler opening is in the same place. Instead of the dipstick, there was a round sightglass window (about 1" dia.) down and to the left, near the pto output shaft . The fluid level should reach the center of the sightglass when the tractor is parked on a dead level surface. The sightglass may be covered with dirt and debris so it can't be checked... be sure to clean it carefully so it doesn't get unseated.
Look between your legs as you set on the tractor and see if the fill plug is there. Sight glass is on the left around your left foot rest.
