Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone has a picture of their equipment hooked up to their 3rd function hose quick disconnect. This is located on my 2015 Kubota L4060. Below is a picture of the hoses for the Everything Attachments Root Grapple I purchased and the valve block for the quick disconnect. I cannot find any literature on how to make this connection and my local dealer has been unresponsive. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Never seen one but...

Take the ends off the grapple hoses, attach to the QA block beside them. The block then goes in the tractor side of the QA and the two pins guide everything to fit properly. Latching the handle draws it up tight and makes the connection.

I think I agree with Derek. So little info it's hard to be sure.

That above is your answer I think having ends on your hoses already is what's messing up your thoughts.

Call EA, they should walk you through it.

Talked to Jeremy today at EA and he had never seen that set-up before. He said that they have an L6060 right now and it doesn't have that type of QA. We talked for about 10 minutes and although he "felt my pain" he really had no answer. I promised I would send him any info that answered the question in case he ran acrossed it again in the future.

Thanks. That's kind of what I was thinking but before I started hacking things together I thought I would ask those with more experience than me before I plowed ahead.

Thanks...what I posted is really all I have to offer for info other than maybe the thread size of the tractor mounted QD.

Here is a pic of my L4060 from 3 years ago when I had my Grapple attached. Hope this helps you get yours connected correctly.

Excellent...thanks for the picture. Curious but aren't those check valves on the terminal end of the removable valve block (part that slides in and gets locked in place)? If so, do they check in different directions? I am at work right now so can't look at my set-up but I thought both valve ports were exactly the same which wouldn't make sense.

I belive they are the same.

I no longer have the QA connected to my L4060 because I just installed a regular connection. This allows me to swap my grapple between my L4060 and my M6060. I didn't want to have to purchase the QA and try to install it on my M6060 so I just made one setup which allows me to use my grapple with both tractors.

Be careful with the handle on the QA and your grapple hoses, it's easy to get the hose wrapped up on the handle when using the grapple tilting it up and down. Just pay attention to your grapple hoses...... don't ask me how I know..... Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip...for the life of me I can't figure out how you came up with that great warning?!? ;)

As a follow-up question, I have attached a picture of what appears to be a factory add-on switch with a "sweet" hose clamp connection for my 3rd function valve. Is the button supposed to light up when it is pushed down (depressed)? I ask because the button doesn't light up nor is my grapple working when trying to use the 3rd function so I'm wondering if the system is getting power. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a push button switch that is similar on my L45 for the 3rd function, it did light up when new but quit working within a year.

Mine lights up after 4 years.

I'm thinking you aren't getting power to your solenoids or joystick buttons.

That's what I'm thinking as well...I'm going to get it up to the dealer for that and a few other minor warranty issues. Fortunately it is a short country road drive to get there.
