Sorry I took so long to answer you but as i mentioned in your PM that you sent me this is the busiest time of the year for me right now plus i get so many emails on different subjects I can't possibly get them all answered right away.
If you look back at the photo where I cut the seat pan of the tractor you'll see that when I made the cut I did so I could push the pan bottom down until it was at level. That is how I knew what size plate to cut and fill in the open area with so you really didn't need to ask me this measurement because once you made the same cut and the floor went level you just needed to measure the height and cut the plate accordingly. I did go out to the tractor and measure it for you and it's 2.24".
You asked me about the measurement from the top of the seat cushion to the floor all the way up and all the way down. When I attached the Specs link for you to review it tells you all of it there. This is the same information I went by to do my install. I downloaded the specs again and put red arrows in the area you were wanting the measurements for. Hope this helps.

I have the same tractor as u and have spent hours talking to Kubota who knows very little. All they want to say is it can't be done. They obviously havent been on YouTube or to Canada eh
My 5740 is getting the Canadian retro as soon as I decide on seat. Which model grammer did u buy from Montreal and can u help me get a contact for them, I'm n the USA.
Also when I redrill the holes do I need to tap them or is it just bolts with a lock washer?
