Kubota 60\" self balance deck

Would somebody please explain to me how the self balancing deck works. How can it self balance when the instructions tell you to run the deck wheels 1/4" to 1/2" off the ground so the deck will float. Can anyone tell that it really works or has made a difference in their mowing /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif?

It's really just to decrease scalping. Instead of being mounted solidly, it has some give on each side. As one side's deck wheels contact the ground, that side of the deck is able to give a little because of the springs on either side on the back of the deck.

Glad to help. This and other related websites are a great resource to learn about compact tractors. I have learned a great deal just from reading the posts.
