It’s not an HST (hydrostatic), it’s a hydraulic shuttle (reverser).HST is fine for “back and forth” such as FEL-work… but I mostly use my tractor for mowing and maintaining roads. The geared tranny and dry clutch is much more durable with regard to overheating, maintenance and durability for that.
yes to this. go hyd shuttle if the M9000 has it. superior to conventional dry clutch in longevity & repeat performanceIf the M9000 has a hydraulic shuttle, it’s a much better transmission than the 7030 dry clutch.
M9000 2-3 mph faster in top gear, so it runs down the road faster, too.
I would prefer the M9000
