Other than 20hp what are the major differences? They seem to be about the same size and the tires could be the same size too.

thanks,

Bill

If the M9000 has a hydraulic shuttle, it’s a much better transmission than the 7030 dry clutch.
M9000 2-3 mph faster in top gear, so it runs down the road faster, too.
I would prefer the M9000

HST is fine for “back and forth” such as FEL-work… but I mostly use my tractor for mowing and maintaining roads. The geared tranny and dry clutch is much more durable with regard to overheating, maintenance and durability for that.

It’s not an HST (hydrostatic), it’s a hydraulic shuttle (reverser).
Its more durable and lasts longer than a dry clutch. It’s what is found in larger farm tractors, like mine.

yes to this. go hyd shuttle if the M9000 has it. superior to conventional dry clutch in longevity & repeat performance
also keep in mind, hyd shuttle and shuttle shift are 2 different systems. hyd is wet pack clutch, shuttle shift is dry clutch. hyd requires no clutch depress in F/R, while the shuttle shift does...the hyd shuttle is a superior system in terms of use & longevity

Price and condition? Hyd shuttle (if equipped) and a newer model +more power in the M9000 would be more appealing.

I was looking at a M6950 (approx. same age) and contacted Messicks to see about parts availability. I was told maintenance parts available, but replacement parts could be "iffy". I passed on it, consider parts availability.
