Good point. That is exactly what the JD, Ford and Case dealers used to say about Kubota twenty years ago. It is also what GM, Ford and Chrysler dealers said about Toyota and Honda. Are you a dealer and if so is that your line when selling Kubotas against Mahindra, Kioti etc?

Brands like Mahindra have been around for well over twenty years and are going strong. Worldwide they probably make as many or more tractors than Kubota (where is Bob Skurka with the numbers when we need them?) The fact that a previously relatively unknown tractor maker, Kubota, made a big splash with CUTs in the USA twenty years ago does not prove they are the only company capable of making tractors that last 20 years or more. Kioti is newer but seems to be making tractors that work as well as the Kubotas. .

I've already sold one brand under two colors that has been here about thirty years. Went through not being able to get the parts for customers when needed from our suppliers and not just back orders! Had to find alternative parts supplies for customers to keep them running. Lucky enough we still can help the customers that need parts for most of the good brands we've sold that aren't there today. Some we can't! We do get plenty of customers that we help to find parts for brands we don't sell, some that are still made and some that aren't

The ag dealers didn't say much other then the fact it isn't an area many wanted to go at the time. Things have changed and it's only a few that haven't been able to develop a market for them in there areas. Many areas that supported farms today support houses and dealers have made adjustments in their businesses to work with the compact tractors.

Art - I respect the fact that you are a dealer and probably know more than 99% of the posters on this site. I agree and respect almost every post you make on this site, and never skip one that I see because I think you always add value to the conversation. Having said that, I firmly and patently disagree with your sales "spin" on 1/4 inching. I have a friend with 1/4 inching which I have used and I have a B2410 which obviously has position control. 1/4 inching is inferior in every way. In my opinion it is an unaccpetable alternative to position control. I love my Kubota, but if my B2410 gets stolen tonight, I will NOT be purchasing another Kubota simply because they do not make a package the same size and horsepower as mine with PC. If 1/4 inching is so great, why does Kubota only sell it in their "value" line?

thank you all for all the information. Being new to the tractor world can I get a someone to explain both 1/4 inching and position control and what it is used for. I now have all 3 quotes and they are all within $1,000 Same financing options. I have not asked yet but should the delears let me demo at my place for a few hours? You do not get alot of true testing in a gravel lot at there places.

Thanks Again to all!!!

Mahindra 2015HST Lowest $12,800

Kioti CK20HST $12,900

Kubota B7510HST $13,450

what sold me on my 7610 was the price of the impliments ie blower mmm bagger etc. price them and you will see kubota is sooo much cheaper overall. Sure the others have some nicer features but Kubota sell more tractors for a reason

Tim, one of the things that I've found is that it normally takes a new operator to be able to use it correctly. It is very easy to train them, and they can pick up on it quite easily. They are different in the concept and I wish they could make it easier to go and inch or two which is what you do with the position control but that is not an acurate control as far as lift or lowering only by the operators judgement. To use the quarter inching valve you can actually remove that guessing if you went to far or not enough. I know I've had my problems with getting adjusted to it just like when getting on the different skid steers we sell with basically three or four different controls depending on how you look at pilot controls.. I learned how to run a skid with the bobcat style but as an occasional user and training people how to operate them smoothly give me the case style controls. It is not strange at all but the newer generation wants pilot controls! I just know that I like the foot throttles and the two speeds.

That looks like a toss up to me. Luckily you cannot go wrong with any of them.
