Price Check Kubota B21 new price?

Newbie to the Board, but have learned much from lurking and absorbing the knowledge that many of you have. Thinking of getting a B21 with Loader and have several questions. Will the PTO speed operate a post hole digger effectively? Will the PTO HP operate my 4' Bush Hog Squealer in light brush? Does it cost significantly more to get a backhoe put on at a later date? My son and I have 220 acres of mostly wooded land, some with gravel pits, and most of our work is personal recreation type, ie:wildlife ponds, trails, firewood, occasional small pulpwood sale,etc. Finally the important question of price? I am located in the UP of Michigan, retired many years ago and found out a while back that this is the best therapy in the world - "get out and work with nature".

Wecome to TBN. I am a fellow Upper one the big lake. I have an L48 and had an L35. Read much about the B21 and it is a great small TLB. You did not mention getting the BH? No need?

I would be lost without it but that is me. Someone up the road from me appears to have a B21. I plan on stopping in to put an eye on it this week and find out what luck they have had.

Are you looking at the dealer in Mason WI? Last time I was there they had some nice suff to dream about.

The B21 is a TLB. You don't have a choice regarding the loader and backhoe; they come with the machine. Any price you get includes those two "attachments". The B21 allows you to remove the backhoe, but not the loader. You might want to keep that in mind. Also when you want to use the rear PTO, you must remove the backhoe, then install the 3PT linkages. Obviously, they need to be removed again when you put the backhoe back on.

B21s are used by electricians and plumbers and rental shops usually. It's a heavy duty machine. Maybe a B7800 or B2910 would be more to your liking. I'd look at the L3130 as well.

Thanks for the info fellow Yooper and others. We had a few snowflakes today when a storm hit around noon. Dark to the north, so Ontonogan probably got a liitle rain.

Plan to check with Lulich in Mason, WI and there's a Dealer in Woodruff also. May have to rethink my plans on the B21, didn't know that it comes with a BH. Budget doesn't allow for a BH yet. Would appreciate any onfo you may find out after viewing your neighbor's B21.

Have to go fire up the Sauna.

Gray I have a new L48 and currently looking for a trailer and wondering if you have one, GVW? Lenth?, Bumper or Gooseneck

I have the same trailer I had for my L35 and have woried about it for this big machine. It is rated for 10000lbs, but has 12000lb, axles. It is maxed out as it weighs 2450 and the L48 is 7650 but I do not carry the 3 pt arms on it. They weigh about 100lbs. Yes, I am on the edge but have talked to many truckers to find out that most good trailers have some safety room built in. I have looked at 2 other options. One is to get a lighter 10000 trailer, I have found one that is only 2100lbs. The second is to go to a 12000 trailer but then I would need a CDL to pull it. I manage with the one I have and load carefully and trailer at safe speeds, check the tires and rarelt go more than 40mi at any time. My trailer is only 16ft long and still I get the thing on Ok in the forward position. Mine has spring assisted lift ramps. It is over built on some of it's features. All it does is add weight. Lots of choices out there. If I can be of any other help just ask.

I must ask you? What type of bucket leveling system do you have and how do you like it? Also, I have a 4in 1 bucket and like it- what is yours equiped with?

Sauna was good.

I have seen many posts with good things said of the L3130 or 3830 for a high value starter. I think you get a 730 loader on them. That would be a good starter and a good sized BH will go on them. If the budget allows go as big as you can.

You may not have a lot to do with a BH but if you have one you will find much to do with it.

I have been at both those dealers. One of them will do well by you. There may even be one is Antigo now? I saw a 5030 down there on US45 this summer and a sign saying moveing to a new location?

Good luck and keep me up on what you do if you don't mind.

BTW If your in Ontonagon, give me a call. If I have the time, i will let you try the L48. Stopped in on the B21 but no one around, will try again.

Visited the Dealer in Woodruff today. He can order a B21 with just the FEL if wanted. He had a rental with 61 hours, but wasn't ready to sell it yet.

After looking at what he had on hand, I'm slanting toward a B7800 HSD with 402 FEL. Within my budget ($15,000).

The 0% interest expires the end of August, so should make a move by then.

Appreciate your offer and also info on tractors. Dealer today had 2- L3130,s on hand. Appeared to be a good buy, but standard Transmission and not what I want.

Plan to post another thread to see if price I got was low, avg., or high.
