Quarter sized is probabally just one drop. Most likely one that was missed when you wiped it down.

I agree or if it will make you feel better, wipe around the filter with a paper towel until you get no dirt or oil and any other areas around the filter that could possibly catch a drop of oil. Then continue monitoring. If you then get another drop repeat wiping and you should find where it's coming from but you'll probably not get anymore.:thumbsup:
Another possability is if you removed the filter, removed the extra ring and then reinstalled the filter with the one original ring and the ring maybe got distorted and is allowing a slight drip which you'll know when you do your second wipe with paper towels around the filter connecting point. If you do, tighten filter abit and then recheck later and if still getting a slight drop forget it and keep check on your oil level or take filter off and reinstall with a new oil seal ring.

This morning looked and there was another small spot on the cardboard. It appears lighter than a drop of oil would appear. Also, It is not directly underneath the filter, it is about 4-6 inches behind where you would expect a drop from the filter to be. I had to run off to work so did not get to investigate further. Is there a chance this is something else. Driving me crazy!!

Well, you don't need to let it drive you crazy, lots more important things to worry about. Even if it's a quarter sized spot every day, it'd take a long time before the oil level dropped enough to cause any damage.
Clean around the filter and frame as much as you can, then let it run at mid rpm range until it gets up to operating temperature, see if you can see any fresh oil anywhere. If you do, crank the filter down another 1/4 turn, run it again.
As long as it's not a steady drip when running, as long as you check your oil before operating everyday, you'll be OK. I know, nobody likes having an oil drip or oil stains on their new tractor, but it's not the end of the world. Just keep checking the oil and operating on whatever you want to, when you've got some down time, work on finding out if and where any leak is, but a small drop overnight isn't a show stopper.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. Level is good on the dipstick. Any ideas on what to look for or do next.

Wipe all of your hydraulic lines with a paper towel and see if you come up with any wetness. SOME FITTINGS JUST NEED A SLIGHT TURN TO TIGHTEN. Oops hit the caps lock.
