Already considering a three-point quick hitch. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

A quick hitch of some kind is definitely a must. You can search on this site and get tons of info. I went with a cheap online version for a hundred bucks and works with everything except the brush hog. Worth it's weight in gold just for saving my sanity while putting the boxblade on.

Why does your bush hog not work? Are there quick hitches that will work with a bush hog?

I've got a SpeeCo that I bought at Tractor Supply. I removed the bolts that hold the hook on it and replaced them with pins, so that I can move the hook up and down quicker.
The hitch works with my John Deere JX4 rotary cutter but I have to reposition the hook because it won't work in the same spot that it's in for the snowblower.

Unfortunately not all Cat 1 equipment is made to the same dimensional spec for the top link connection. Some are easily adjustable and others require torch and welder.

I got something similar to a Pats and the hooks that go on the arms are just slightly too big to get under the brush hog pins due to a lip on the front of the brush hog.

I keep it on an oversized pallet with a piece of plywood on top so I can slide it around which makes it much easier than moving it around on the ground.

I have a 2920 and use the Land Pride Quick Hitch on mine. I think it works very well. The one issue that I had from it was that I bought it after I bought my tractor and bush hog. The QH set the BH back about 4 inches, which was not an issue until I started to BH my dam. When doing this, I have the tractor on top of the dam, and I back the BH over the side of the dam to do the slope, which puts the BH far below the tractor and lengthens the shaft considerably. I found my shaft was then not long enough. It never separated, but vibrated in the middle like mad, and the protective pipe over it separated so that when I pulled the BH back up level, the pipe tried to come together and mashed against each other. I brought this up with my dealer and ended up buying a little longer drive shaft for the BH.

I'm not satisfied with the approach on this though, as I see that Messics sells drive shaft extensions and for $35 I could have bought a extension. Far cheaper then buying a new drive shaft.

Overall, I've been very satisfied with my Land Pride Quick Hitch.
