A quick thank you to all the people who have posted their experiences and knowledge about Kubota safety switches; really appreciated as info found here saved the day for me; my 2012 Kubtoa B3200HSD quit on me yesterday (first time ever in almost 9 years) when I left the seat. I assumed I had hit one of the PTO levers when I got off.
Tractor would not turn over / no response whatsoever (common symptom when one tries to turn over when a PTO lever is engaged). Turns out, after reading thru posts on this forum, that the HST safety switch was not being activated when the tractor was in neutral. Seat safety switches (there are two I believe) do not affect tractor startup.
Anycase, my particular problem (now that I knew where to look) was easy to figure out --- the HST / foot pedal safety switch had slipped a little in its bracket so the foot pedal rod assembly was not able to compress the switch when in neutral. When in gear (forward or reverse), the rod assembly retracts away from the safety switch - this tells the controller to stop the engine and not allow re-start.
As others have posted, good time to lube everything up as well. So thank you all for this awesome resource.... Josh
