Purchased a new Kubota B3200 a few months ago to replace a 2006 B7800. My B7800 did have some rattles and vibration, but what I'd consider normal. I took my B3200 into the dealer to get looked at because it feels and sounds like it's over revving and going to blow up over 2000 rpms. Most of the parts also vibrate and rattle below this rpm as well.

Here's what I found out/was told when I picked it up:

-The serial # already included the "rubber mount fix" from the factory

-Engine timing was checked and is correct

-Another B3200 on the lot felt and sounded the same way

-Kubota HQ told my dealer that the B3200 is a economy model, so vibrations should be expected

-Service Manager and Shop Manager told me it vibrates a lot and they wouldn't be happy with it

-And last.....I would have to call my Kubota Rep and talk to him.

Called my Kubota Rep and he's on vacation

Just out of curiosity, why trade in a B7800 for a B3200....almost the same machine, isn't it?

The are exactly the same machine, only cosmetic changes and a new loader valve.

The B7800 and B3200 share the same engine, to my knowledge the only thing they changed was the injection pump timing, presumably to meet emissions requirements. Have them recheck the timing again and set it to B7800 specs. I have read a couple cases where retarding the timing has reduced the vibration significantly. I plan to try it on mine someday, but honestly the vibration doesn't bother me that much.

Also note that there is really no reason you have to run it at PTO speed for most applications. The motor makes as much or more torque around 2000 rpms and runs very smooth there.

Yes they do vibrate but with some well placed rubber isolators and so on you can reduce the noise a lot which has a physiological effect on the vibration. I have close 100 hrs on mine now an I am positive the vibration is less than it was for the first 20-30 hrs.

I have a little over 400hrs on mine now and can also say that the vibration is becoming less. Still noticeable, but not annoying anymore. I always wear a headset radio/ear muffs when running mine so the vibration related noise isn't an issue.

All you need to do is order an engine repair
and service manual for the engine from
Foley Engine to ****** the timing to eliminate
the vibration and you will be home free.

They insist the engines are fine,
and they all work like this but they are not
ment to operate like this, and they will not
discuss the fact that they advance
the timing slightly to get around the EPA
diesel emmisions regulations for small diesel
engines to avoid the additional expense of
purchasing the smaller exhaust gas purifiers
which can be purchased easily from Foley Engine
and others.

My B7800 was burnt up burnt in a fire. It is pretty much the same machine with new body style and loader.

Well that's enough to make a man cry.:(

I am sure you will come to like your 3200. When I first got mine I was appalled at the vibration but as I stopped the rattles and used it more, I really like it. Can't think of anything I would want to trade it on. I hang lots of weight on the 3pt and it is amazing what it can do. A real powerhouse.

I like the "it's an economy model, you should expect it to vibrate" answer. Jeez -a 16k tractor or whatever they cost now. In other words - "you should have spent more money."

It's like when I go to my dealer - I'm the guy with the little tractor - I have a B2620 - it only cost 14k (I'm still paying for it). It does everything I want it to do on my property and I even made some money with it but to the dealer it's little and only cost 14k. I should have got a b3200 - oh wait - I don't want a vibrating bed - I need the B3030.

Got a hold of the Kubota regional rep. I told him I had a B3200 that vibrated. He asked me some questions about it for a few minutes. He then broke the news to me that vibration is normal and should be expected in the b3200. I then informed him I had a B7800 and it didn't vibrate like that and the b3200 shouldn't either seeing it's basically the same engine. He said it's not the same engine, the b3200 engine is a lot "tighter". I said well it seems like the all the problems started when it changed to the Tier 4 emissions and so on. After informing him on some facts, he admitted they had a lot of complaints about it and were looking into it. I told him to give my dealer a call so they can explain what they felt and give their opinion on it, then give me a call back.
