I am thinking of trading my John Deere 1070 for a B3300. For the work I find myself doing anymore, the 1070 is about too big. The problem I have though, is all of the 6' attachments I have. I know I won't be using the 6' box blade or bush hog, but what about my finish mower? It's used just for a regular yard with a couple of steep areas. Anyone have any thoughts on a 6' finish mower on a tractor putting out 25 at the pto?

Thanks

A 6' finish mower should be fine. Also a 6' scrape blade, 6' landscape rake, etc will be a good match too. You'll want a 5' bush hog and box blade however.

I don't think you will have a problem if you keep the grass regularly mowed, which you should do with a finish mower anyway. In fact, before you sell the 6' bush hog, you might want to give it a try behind your new 3300. As long as you are not in too big and thick weeds, I'd bet you would get good results. I use a 6' grader blade behind mine and the main problem is traction but I'm still happy with my 3300.
