Hi all there may be somewhere my questions answered on here but asking for help anyway. From what I can determine after recently acquiring this little unit c/w fel and small backhoe. I've posted some pics of the unit regarding another topic as well.
I think it a 1973-1977, range. My charging system doesn't appear to be working. I'm looking for information on how to test the dynamo output and then test the bridge rectifier (which I'm sure I can find online elsewhere too).
From what I've read and learned that this dynamo is a 90W output, one thread I read indicated that th charging system should be at 14.5V when running of working properly. the fan belt had been replaced when I got it but some unintelligent guru didn't install the belt tensioner that was zip tied to an oil jug of Kubota engine oil when I got it and I figured out what it was and put it on. one of the sema threads I read indicated something about the wires from the dynamo going to the regulator and the headlight switch, and somehting about increasing the voltage when using the lights. I'm thinkin the charge rate could be limited to a lower rate through the regulator and headlight when not using headlights so as to not ovecharge the battery then when using headlights it increases to offset the draw on the battery to a regulated full charge to the battery and lights.
On another topic, how and where could one install a temperature sending unit, as well as an actual oil pressure sending unit to better monitor temperature and oil pressure ?
What should the oil pressure be running?
Might it be also possible to install a spin on oil filter as well somewhere?
