Kubota B6100

I have been offered a B6100 Kubota tractor at no cost. Just come and pick it up. It has some problems and I would like to know if it would be worth the trouble to consider making repairs.

1) The engine was blowing blue smoke-Heavy.
2) It overheated and lost all coolant splitting the coolant tank seam.
3) Is it possible that the head gasket failed?
4) Can I find parts if I want to work on on fixing it?

Sounds like a total engine rebuild to me.

I believe it would only be cost effective if you did the rebuild yourself.

Parts shouldn't be any problem.

If it was me, I'd be halfway there already.

The head gasket is gravy to replace. I had less than 100 tied up in a headgasket, bearing for the idler pulley, other misc. seals and gaskets.

IIRC, i got all my parts from Coleman Equipment.

I had a B5100 and it was a Great little tractor...Free is a very good price if you don't mind a project...Good luck.
