I have a kubota B7100 4wd hydrostatic that keeps running hot. Its not leaking water but have to keep adding water. Where's it going and why is it running hot?

My educated guess is that the fins of the the radiator are packed with debris, it overheated and now you have a crack in the cylinder head between the precombustion chamber and the exhaust valve seat.

Make sure the oil cooler is clean on the outside. It is just in front of the radiator.

On the radiator also make sure it is clean externally, check that the fan turns and make sure the rad cap is closed and working properly. If the tractor runs too hot steam escapes by the cap and you should hear the whistle on the drainage tube.

Just hope it isn't the head cracked.

yep do all the basics like cleaning oil coolers and radiator. also in between them.

Does the upper radiator hose get hot? if not I would put in a new thermostat.

Are you sure your not losing any out of the overflow tube?

if you are losing it out of the overflow then that's good news (in a way). I would put on a new radiator cap.

if not, that could point to it going into the engine internally were it isn't suppose to. How does the oil look? any white smoke (steam) from the exhaust?
