FARMERFORD,
I just have to tell you thanks. I shimmed the relief valve on the fel and WOW what a difference. You were right.
The backhoe is a completely different unit now.I would like to put a gauge on a line and see how much the pressure increased. I put a shim about the size of a 1/4 lock washer.it will be interesting to see the pressure difference. If I remember, last time it was around 1500 lbs I wonder how much these little rams will take without bending/leaking.
I am so glad you responded to the post,I was ready to tear the tractor apart insearch for the long lost, weak, ugly relief valve.
THANKS AGAIN COMPRESSOR

i know for me and my little underpowered shovel/wheelbarrow. i always drop the bucket first and lift the front wheels to where i want then i hit the riggers and they lift the tractor up as high as i need it. the other way, riggers then bucket, i believe the leverage of the loader is working against itself. and if this is not your whole problem, i may have misread. my bx24 loves to cut trenches like the one you described. (woops, new guy forgot to finish the whole thread before posting, my bad.)
