Kubota seems to advertise Super UDT as being more water tolerant
than the above, but only in addressing issues of filter-clogging and
brake squawk. However both dissolved and emulsified water will
cause contamination problems.

No one but Kubota knows exactly what is in its secret soup. But
ester-based synthetic oils have an additional drawback when water
contaminated as they can undergo hydrolysis causing a limited reversal
to the original organic acid.

Ditto...Considering what my 'Bota cost I'm not going to be overly concerned about changing out the hydro fluid at 50 hours. But then again I could never understand why so many of the RV crowd are willing to shell out 100K+ then park their behemoths overnight in the Wal-Mart parking lot so that they don't have to pay the $16 for a parking spot at a RV camp.

Convenience is the reason,They do not have to get so far off the "beaten path" and try and find the RV park,especially if they are just passing through a town. If I had an RV I would do the same thing for an overnight stay.If you need anything to stock up on go into the Walmart.

That is correct, while traveling I'm usually trying to make mileage so I drive until fairly late at night. A Walmart, preferably super walmart is a dream to come across since you only want to park, sleep and continue on after grabbing a cup of coffee and fresh baked goods etc... Back to the 50 hr, I just wanted to pass off my personal experience with the udt vs. super udt. I opted to save a few bucks and go the udt route. I wish I hadn't since now the fel seems sluggish. It's not drastic butI can certainly tell you it is very noticable. In fact I plan on draining it and paying the additional money for the super udt in the next couple of weeks. What's the opinion on Amsoil?

They also change hydraulic oil on all the backhoes and other machines that I have orperated over the years. They tell me it is to flush all particles out of system. Larry
