( Since the BX series tractors come factory filled with Super UDT which is a synthetic oil, what is the effect of water when it comes in contact with this type of oil??? thanks )
Kubota seems to advertise Super UDT as being more water tolerant
than the above, but only in addressing issues of filter-clogging and
brake squawk. However both dissolved and emulsified water will
cause contamination problems.
No one but Kubota knows exactly what is in its secret soup. But
ester-based synthetic oils have an additional drawback when water
contaminated as they can undergo hydrolysis causing a limited reversal
to the original organic acid.
