Mowing kubota bx brushhoging

Does anyone brushhog with a kubota bx. How big is it?

I haven't in a couple of years as I have too much ground, but I have done so in the past using a 48" cutter. The ground clearance is not much and the steering rod boots are pretty exposed, so I tore mine up and subsequently added a protector from Bro Tek.

I have a 48" Brush Bull that I run off my 2660. I've been doing blackberry eradication on the back slope. I'm going to go with the Bro-tek plate before spring. As it is, I back up the slope very slowly so the stalks are chopped up pretty well. No problem with the fan yet, but I'm on borrowed time. I engage the mower at low rpm as there is serious torque when that mower pulls in. The BX with my 60" mmm and the bucket removed is a great mower. It is a comfort having both

I've got a bx2350, I use a King Kutter XB48 behind my tractor I wouldn't want to use anything larger. I use a Bxpanded skid plate with it.

I use a Land Pride RCR1548 (48") behind my BX25. It is a real combination. Chops up stuff as big as 4" w/o a stutter, never stalled it or sheared a pin yet. I back in to a lot of stuff and let down onto it. Last year I cleared over an AC of brush, blackberries, dead trees, small alder trees. That is now usable grass land. Found a lot of junk previous owners had let the blackberries consume. Even had a barrel with 4 alders growing out of it.

I run a Rankin 42" behind my BX24. Mostly used for mowing 5 acres of heavy, tall grass. I now run a full set of Brotek crunch plates (all 3) and a home-made protector for the front axle input shaft seal.

Tall grass wiped out my wiring harness and killed that seal. I may be the only one who's ever had that problem, but it wasn't fun.

Back when I had my BX2200, I ran a 48" King Kutter.

I use a Howse model 400 (48") on my BX25. I've never used one before so I can't compare it to others but I can say I am totally pleased with the results, and I'm amazed at what that thing can cut through. The pictures below show what it can handle.

Picture #3: The rough stuff. The foreground used to look like the tall stuff (over 6 feet) in the back. A couple hours after this was taken, the stuff in the back looked like the foreground.
