I am a little puzzled by the high pitched whine on the sound in your video. Is that real or just distorted sound from the video ? My BX sure doesn't sound like that.

I think the video has been speeded up slightly, which would make the sound higher than it actually is. If you watch the operator's head bobbing around, it looks maybe 2x normal speed.

i think its normal for some kubota's i saw a couple video's where they are high pitched. and i can hear the whine of my neighbors hst, 300 yards away in my house, its that loud, it would drive me nuts to be honest, and his video looks sped up

So in my case then it helps to be a little deficient in the hearing department :)

Yes you are right I often speed up my tractor videos (with the idea of covering the subject area and reducing boredom). So then If I left the audio as recorded and doubled the video speed the audio frequencies would also be doubled. I will keep that in mind as in some cases it would be fairly practical to leave the audio as is while increasing the video speed, like a steady hum of the engine, for example. But editing to sync other sounds (like the snow blower hitting the ground) with the normal speed audio would take a fair bit of effort though.

It's not a problem. I think know we know the high pitch comes from the sped up video. I don't think you can speed up the video without speeding up the audio -- they have to stay together. No important.

At the post (editing) stage you can separate the audio from the video. That lets you speed up the video and keep the audio at the normal speed. But the end result can only seem "normal" if there are no extraneous sounds associated with the video like a bucket banging and the like.

Here's one of two videos I made about clearing out plowed up snow at the driveway entrance.

Here's the second video about clearing plowed up snow at the driveway entrance. This video made with the security camera.

Thanks for the well done videos. You have quite the road and driveway to deal with!
