Kubota BX Series - Hard Mounted Pistol Holster

Any of you fella`s have pictures of your pistol in a hard mounted holster on your tractor where you can access it in a split second...???
I was out clearing a new roadway path in our woods out back today, a pack of wolves started circling my tractor and i couldnt get to my pistol in my add-on aux tool box. I managed to kill one when he tried to ambush me, the rear tire was a touch quicker at running over his head when i snapped the steering wheel real quick. Anyways, just curious if anybody has a holster (what brand & style) on their BX. Not much option to mounting a holster on a BX, so i`m lookin for some good pics & ideas. Thanks guys.

Wolves?! Now you're making me want to carry on my machine! I noticed you live in NY, inrecently moved here.
I wanted a hard holster that isn't dedicated to one spot when I mounted it in my truck. I used a Blackhawk serpa holster and also their serpa quick disconnect kit. It's a slick system! You could have it on your belt like a typical holster, unclip the holster and gun, then lock it onto your machine.
I don't have a bx but I'm sure this kind of setup would work for you. P.s. mine is setup for my s&w shield

In my experience a single-action revolver works in your scenario.

A double action revolver or a semi-automatic pistol will have operating mechanism clogged with internal dust in a short period.

Oh yes, i know the holster your talking about, i have several of those... i think you`ve got a good idea there...! I`ll try that an see what happens.
I have a couple M&P shields...lol... one is 9mm PC ported, and 2 shield 45`s. One is the standard shield 45, the other one is the shield 45 PC ported model. Insanely accurate...!
I`ve often pondered wearing my miami classic shoulder rig but its a pain in the azz flopping around while i`m trying to work.

Wolves wern`t a problem until recent in the last couple years... but they`ve been breeding like rabbits here in upstate ny. We`ve rarely seen one or two a year, but lately, they are spotted in packs everywhere now. I`m close to the PA border as well, we`ve been taking down alot of wild critters (wolves, coyotes, cougars) due to them getting VERY brave and VERY aggressive. The PA game commission says they didnt release any mountain lions...thats BS...! My neighbor killed one that had killed a couple of his younger cows.

Thank you Jeff, i`m not concerned to much with dust in the short amount of time i`m running around the woods with the tractor.
Its VERY wet year round where i live, so the dust isnt that much of the issue. But your idea/choice is very worthy regardless...!

You can find the holster similar that were carried during the war. They have flaps which cover the guns to both secure and keep them free from debris.
As far as the weapon goes....i'd opt for a revolver as well.
And you can always zip tie a holster to the ROPS

Here's what I have in my B2650. It's a Charter Arms Bulldog, .44 Special with a Fobus holster. It is anchored with 2 drill screws. That was the only location in the cab that offered quick unimpeded access, and mostly blends in with the background. Being a cheap but reliable pistol, I just leave it in the tractor year round. It lived in my old tractor for many years before that. Simple, and easy to clean.
