Kubota BX series ridiculous transmission

Maybe so, but stupid threads don't get smart.

This one started with the OP (now long gone) posting caveat emptor warnings on YouTube, doing wheelies with a ridiculous ballast and saying his tractor stopped too abruptly. THEN we found an earlier thread from the same OP, saying his tractor didn't stop fast enough. The OP complained and a moderator cut the thread to ribbons.

You don't have to bump a thread to show it to a noob, Les. That's what linking is for. Bumping is to add information or elicit further responses. This thread has PLENTY of those. More than enough. Too ******* many.

Sorry to bump this tripe once again, but in 5 years or so, IMO this is the worst thread ever.

With almost 20,000 views, this tread ranks # 7 most popular in the Kubota section. You keep diverting the attention the "ridiculous transmission. You keep going berating others when the real issue is the transmission and lack concern from Kubota. And again, many people clearly think it is an important issue. Why don't you start an etiquette thread? I'm sure that will be popular!

I haven't berated anybody, at least since you got mod chops. I have berated the original post, as have many other participants. The popularity of a thread does not necessarily reflect on the veracity of its OP.

This may be a stupid question but, Why can't they make the RTV900 tranny like the one in my bx2350 where you use your heal to back up? Seems like it would be a lot easier, no shifting.

I could be wrong, but I bet the RTV uses a Constant Velocity clutch (like golf cars and snowmobiles). That gives it low end power and high-end speed. I don't think you could get that kind of speed/power range out of a hydrostat transmission.

Well I think that it is bad and stuff, If like people like don't know how to control there tractors and stuff and I think like you should like learn how to like run like a piece of equipment instead of like your mouths and stuff aaaa hhuhhhu... The VHT transmission has two motors driving one shaft with some interesting valving, when the one stalls the second one kicks in at a lower speed but having more power..... a little hard to reverse that assembly.

There is no belt or constant velocity pulleys in the RTV, it is all hydro drive into the 3 speed gear transmission.
