Maybe I missed something but in god's green earth is using 6 gallons of diesel to cut 6 acres efficient? Was that for the summer? I thought he wrote to cut 6 acres he using 6 gallons. I hope he meant for the whole summer.

I agree. It was a pleasure to read, even though I don't have either a 1500 or 1800. I was also glad to see his review on the FEL, in which he thought it was a good idea to upgrade to a 2230 or bigger to use an FEL for more than very light digging and hauling. One of the primary reasons I spent the extra money on a 2230 was because I thought I could use the extra weight and slightly better power when working with the FEL.
