Not supposed to read instructions!!?? Who knew? Now I feel like my whole engineering career was a fraud and a cheat. I'm too old for a do-over!

Speaking of cheats, I'm with Byron Bob: Disconnect the mower, raise the front wheels with the FEL until you can roll the mower forward under them, lower the front wheels/raise the bucket to roll the mower away from the tractor. Reverse to re-install. Works good with B-series and a BX24. Of course if you don't have an FEL, you can't do this. (remember, you heard it from an engineer )

Thanks for the input, the FEL option sounds like it could be the ticket.
Next weekend, I will give it a lift and see how it works. Might need to move some items around in garage.

Funny, I can slide a 60" straight under without barely even turning the front wheels. The secret is to sit on the ground and direct it with both feet. Smooth garage floor makes it really easy, but can work on "sweeped" concrete, too.
