Kubota BX22
I have owned my BX22-LA210-BT600 since 2003. It has about 320 hours. I have serviced it properly and it runs great. Today the LA210 Front End Loader lost power to lift. I could run the RPM up and dump the bucket and raise the bucket empty. Bucket roll seems fine. Back hoe seams fine. I disconnected the Backhoe, but did not solve problem. I rebuilt the lifting cylinders about a year ago, and they have worked fine since. I check the 3 quick connects and one look like it had old oil in it. 3PH level is in the neutral position. Any ideas? Thanks

Is the valve spool for lift/ lower moving fully. If like my Bx1850 there was several linkage points between the joystick and the directional valve hidden behind the dash panel. If one of these linkage points worked loose and allowed only a partial shift of the spool this could explain your problem.

Check linkage as stated by oldnslo.

Does your valve spool go into float?

If you can, observe the spool and determined if the spool when operated, moves in and out equally except float has a little more travel.

You could also measure the flow from both spools and determine if the valve is providing full flow, using a 5 gal bucket and determine GPM.

Why not purchase a lift valve with PB and install it first and then run the log splitter and the lift valve OUT to tank.

Lift, split, lift ,split, or not lift.

You only need to hyd lift the large chunks.

Short of doing some flow Vs pressure tests on the FEL circuit I don't have any other easy to do suggestions.

Did you do any of the things I suggested in post #3?

Why only 3 QD? Did you overlook one?

The joy stick / valve does lock in to float mode. I have not done any flow test. Tractor parts man thinks it is a cylinder bypassing inside. I am considering rebuilding the cylinders again.

He might be talking about the FEL valve IN QD, the OUT QD and the PB QD., and not the 4 work ports.

I don't think there should be QD on them just the work ports. But the BX22 might feed the BH right from the PB port.

As you can see from the attached Photo's the right cylinder is bypassing from within. Some of the center O-rings are missing. Thanks for your input and help. IMG_2750.jpgIMG_2752.jpg

Calvin,
My concern would be what allowed or caused this seal to fail again? Is the cylinder bore scored or enlarged/ ballooned, egg shaped etc. at some point which would cause the seal to fail.
