Well, my dealer likes me. I've spent a lot of money with him, on two previous Cubs, a 2150 and then a 2206. I decided I wanted something larger, and was looking real hard at the 3240.By the time I got it loaded up with a front blade it was up around $7500. The dealer knows me all too well, and showed me the Kubota BX.

Now, I dont have a lot of land, only about 4 acres, and not a lot of things that you normally would really want a larger tractor for, and after all, it would usually be used for mowing and the BX seemed like a huge overkill. In the end, the construction of the BX as well as the utility sold me. Resale helped a lot too, used Kubotas around here get a premium.

Now that i have the BX, I can't believe all the uses I've put it thru, and I have just 15 hours on it! I don't regret it for a second...I love the 'Bota. Even the wife is warming to it...she wants a lot bigger garden, but I've grumbled my way out of it in the past, this clay is so darned tough for a walk behind tiller...so out i went last saturday to buy a 48" Rotavator for the 3-pt... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I am in North Central WV & had a quote of $9900 for the BX2200 & 60" belly mower, before I went to the B2410.
Good luck in your search. By the way found a dealer 10 days ago with BX2200 about 25 hours north east OH $9000. I do not know if he has sold that unit.

i would like to know why bx2200's are going back to the dealer
with only a few hours on them before i'd invest in one. it might
be as simple as someone trading up right away, or something else. i would definitly try to contact the previous owner if
possible.

Tho' I agree w/ Redhawk's practical concern, the unit is likely still under warrantee and so unless there has been abuse it's a pretty safe bet.

The $12k for BX2200+60"mwr+FEL is a new record to me (I've seen $12.4k for the same). My local dealer wants $10.75k for the BX2200+60"mower and I've seen the same just under $10K out-of-state. Of course state sales tax make make such differences moot.

There is no telling why the BX tractor went back, maybe the wife would not let the poor fellow keep it. My BX has 100 hours on it now and it is a sweet machine, maybe I will get a larger tractor someday but really this little BX does everything I need and does it well. Why you guys have problems with the wife, do they want you to go chew the grass shorter, let her handle the wheelbarrow and shovel a bit! I also negotiated my tractor prior to release so I cannot give you a price but --DUDE!!!!!--you need that BX! The FEL, if you do not get a FEL why bother with a tractor at all, you can be like my neighbor two houses down with a Grasshopper, when he needs dirt moved he comes down and begs me to do it with my BX. My dealer has been great, I could not get the lift control knob to turn this weekend, I called the dealer, 15 miles away and he came and was at my house in 20 minutes and found that the knob had been cranked over to hard. Fixed it on the spot and gave me some more useful tips--for free! Hey, there was a like new used B2400 there on the lot a few weeks back and I think a used grand L with just a few hours on it--who knows why people return things?? I performed all my service, but the dealer did pick my tractor up for replacing that tank and he sharpened my blades and some other items and washed it all clean--for free, in three days and returned it to my garage. J
