I just hauled my Kubota BX2230 from Florida to upstate New York (near Cooperstown--quite the drive). I am now planning out the process of converting the tractor from its previous duties (clearing flat brush near a swamp) to its new role (snow removal on a long steep driveway plus sundry yard chores).
I've been reading some very useful discussions in TractorByNet about winter work with the BX2230 and tire selection, chains and so on. However, to get started I need to answer a very basic question, namely what kind of tires are these that are already on my tractor. They are labeled Trac Master. Are they bar, ag, turf, or something else?
And of course, my next question is, how are they for snow work?
(Hopefully none of my neighbors will read this and discover how little I know about tractors--your answers will be a face-saver.)
