We have been looking into buying a Kubota BX23 mainly for its /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif versatility and features. We have a 5 acre property and will use this tractor for doing small jobs. Majority of the work that we will be doing is landscaping and cutting down a few trees and pushing around dirt. We currently have a Ford 1320 but its only 2wd. We have been shopping around for a good deal and are not sure what we should be paying for the BX23. Does anyone out there know what one should pay? We would also like to get the 60" mid mount mower, back hoe and front loader. Any help would be greatly appreciated! By the way...we are new to this site! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I just bought a BX23 last week. I paid just a bit under 16k without the mower. The mower will be around $1800 more. The BX23 comes standard with a FEL (front end loader) and backhoe. People get different prices around the country so it will depend where you are located. I wouldn't expect that you pay much more than I did. The northeast seems to have some of the highest tractor prices.
I also have about 5 acres. I don't use the tractor to mow with but it works great for small landscaping projects and snow removal with my previos BX2200 was great! Good luck and have fun!
Depends on what part of the country you're in (hint: fill in your profile). In southwest Ohio, I paid $16,500.00 for my BX22 with 60" MMM, mulch kit, toothbar and 4 way FEL valve.
I Live in South Jersey and just recently purchased a BX23 for $14,900, TLB. With the 53" MMM it came to $16,300 (those decks are expensive). You have to price around to get a decent deal, these are expensive beasts - lots of room for mark-up etc..., and it seems to be becoming quite a sellers market.
Thanks to y'all for all the good info. That B price list is a great reference!
We were able to do some negotiating . Got the Bx23 with 54"MMM right at $16k
