Oil & Fuel Kubota BX2360 shudders hard then conks out

I've had it to the Kubota dealer 3 times. 1st-sand in tank, they cleaned the tank. 2nd - shuttered hard again, they came and got it free of charge and said it ran fine (The guy that picked it up was trying to pull it up on the truck, had a real hard time inching it up to the ramp so I pushed it, he said it ran once it was loaded.) 3rd- alger in the tank, told me to get biocide, I put it in monthly for 7 momths. I've had it 2 years and have managed to put a whole 34.9 hours on it. I mostly mow with it and had to get a little riding mower. It cranks spits, sputters, sudders and conks out. (SSSC) I noticed the last time it was actually running that when I started the mower deck it SSSCed. Can anyone help or know a mechanic near Palestine, Tx. that doesn't charge $80 an hour and knows my Kubota?

first of all, I have a few questions/thoughts running in my mind.sand in tank?! how? Secondly was the fuel filters replaced? both of them? 35 hours and dealer blames algae?! hmmmmm highly doubtful. was a test done to prove it? where do you get your fuel from?

second- are you sure its a fuel issue or solenoid shutting off? The way to tell is to look at the plunger moving on the solenoid during your troublesome running.

Sand, I guess because there was a lot of dust while mowing, the second time they figured water in the line cause it ran after it got up on the trailer and alge cause they saw it in the filter. Both filters have been replaced 3 times. The last time they looked clean to me. I did the front one and a friend did the hard one. I can't see the back filter real well but the front one has only a little deisel in it, it's not full so my son's friend is gonna take a look at it and pull the line to see if it's blocked, just don't know when.

My money is that your filters are plugging up. They are very small filters and I've had it plug up twice on my tractor. If you really do have algae in your tank, it can be hard to kill. Sand in the tank from mowing? I don't think so unless you mow with the cap off. That sounds like a load of crap if I've ever heard it.

Another thing could be the lift pump. Its a very small pump near the back of the tractor, it almost looks like a fuel filter but is metal. An easy way to tell if its running is to turn the key on without starting the tractor. You should hear a steady clicking. Its easy for a wire to get broken or the pump just plain fails.

Have you checked the fuel line from the tank to the engine. I have heard of the line getting pinched sometimes when the tractor is getting put together and this would cause it too. Found this out from my dad who had the same issue happen on his.
