Hello all;
I am in the market for a new tractor, and I am weighing the differences between the Kubota bx2370v and the yanmar sa221td. The pricing incentives make the kubota about $1500 less, the cash price is the same.
I like the cub cadet/yanmar dealer, as they have been fair with respect to my previous tractor, a second-hand 2005 cub cadet 5234d, which regrettably did not have a transmission that matched the quality of the engine.
The cub cadet/yanmar dealer will also give me a trade-in allowance for the cub cadet and its loader of $1000. I may be able to sell the tractor outright for parts for the same or more money, but the consideration is a nice touch.
From a use, feature and quality standpoint, which of these two models would you pick? 5 year powertrain warranty on the yanmar vs 3 year promotional warranty (2 year otherwise) on the kubota.
I will use it to mow my 2.5 acre property with lots of hills, clear the snow from 400 feet of paved driveway, and haul a 5 x 8 trailer with dirt and brush debris. No front end loader.
For the owners of either, would you buy it again? Please share your praise, and share your horror stories. Any imput would be appreciated.
Thank you.
