i recently got a new kubota tractor, the L series. I did not get canopy but am considering. I have looked at tons of 3rd party after market ones and gotten some clues from the forum. My question is that Kubota seems to offer 3 version, good to best kinda thing. does anybody know the differences in canopy to "Deluxe Canopy"? if anyone has pictures of the different versions that would be very helpful.

thanks

i have the kubota canopy on my L4400. i believe it is the "best" model. it took about an hour to install, and it is a great addition, especially when it rains or snows.

lots out there, personally I like steel. Nothing special about K. Fiberglass & plastic go down easily w/overhanging branches. good luck bb

the canopy on your tractor looks really nice. Steel was mentioned. The one on my old JD was steel and pretty glad it was a couple times I caught it on trees. I believe about all the ones I have found on the net though have been fiberglass, ABS or other plastic. Anybody have recommendation on a Steel one?

i hit mine on branches all the time, they just seem to get pushed aside, then again, i am careful about where the canopy i going. if i were going to go do real "woods" work, i would take it off, rather than have it hit everything

I purchased mine for my B3030 from the dealer for $425. I think its the standard one not the deluxe. It is ABS plastic made by FEMCO. So far I don't have any problems with it. It fits well, looks good, and keeps the rain and sun off me.

Someone on one of the forums used a car hood for a canopy. I thought that was a terrific idea. Painted Kubota orange and it could be a lot cheaper. Lots of different sized cars out there, so I figure I can just about pick the size of the hood that I need.

Steel will radiate heat much more than you may think. That can be good as well as bad. You can insulate it. I have Kubota brand fiberglass on my two and like them. They do fade which I don't like. They have run under many small tree limb (nothing larger than an inch). My brother has an aluminum on his Massey and it looks real good and does not radiate heat anything like steel.

Not suggesting pulling one but some road signs are good size for your use.

It was made from a El Camino truck cap ( no dingo balls Ha Ha) 44"X64". It extends over the hood, covers the inst panel, most of all Me. One could use any truck cap, this one was going to end up in the dump. I may have a total of $5 in it, paint, nuts & bolts and welding rod, perhaps 4 hrs.
