Nice setups there.
I finally put plow on. I had to get the tabs rewelded to the plow frame to fit the dimensions of the loader arms. The first welder never came back to my house to pick up the rack after I explained it to him and gave him the go ahead for $240. So I brought the rack to another welder and asked him to do it. He said it would cost $90. Nice. I am glad the first guy blew me off.
When I picked it up I asked if everything was parrallel and he said he didnt know it was critical. The welder also told me that I had a leaky hose. While there, I saw the hose had been torched by the welder. I guess there was a problem with it getting current during the welding process. The welder was a nice guy, said if it didnt fit to bring it back. He gave me a great price so I didnt complain. S___ happens. Went to NAPA and go two new one foot long hoses for $30. Put every thing together and attached it to the loader arms and it fit like a charm. I cant believe it fit so smoothly.
I decided to try the chain setup and since I had not gotten to the third valve thing yet. Since I didnt have a welder at the house to use to weld a hook to the crossbar, I wire roped a hook to the tube. Not very good looking but I figured it would work until I could make it nice. Hey, it was snowing like crazy out.
Finally, I tried to make the final connections to the tractor hydraulic system.
When I went to diconnect the bucket dump and attach the plow angle hydrualics I found that the quick disconnects were not compatible.
This take perseverence.
Decided that I didnt need the angle or the chain. I cut a piece of rebar and put hole in either end to put pins in so the rebar would not fall out of the plow rack. Used the rebar to hold the plow in a set angle position.
It worked great. I think I like it like it is, without any angle hydraulics.
I then proceeded to make a mess of my driveway. Started to get the hang of it at the end.
Thanks for the help all. I post some pics when I get a chance.
