Somewhere in my research, I found an easy reference for Kubota engine specifications. I can't find it now, I've looked for 20 minutes. Anyway, I noticed that the engine in the BX2660 had the same bore and stroke as a couple other tractors, one or two which claimed over 30hp.
Now I don't know squat about diesels, but I do know that in gas engines, sometimes a series of engines will be essentially the same in every way except for the carburetor. You can take a carb off an 18hp engine, put it on a 15hp in the same line and get 3 more hp.
Is it the same for Diesels? Could there be 5 more hp lurking behind a simple injector change or adjustment?
