I just returned from the Kubota dealer. I was talking with him several months ago about a BX2200. I told him to call me as soon as one came in, well, never got the call. Anyway, they only had one new tractor in stock. They are a newer dealer, but this spring they seemed to have a parking lot full.

Are they having trouble getting stock from Kubota or maybe the dealer struggling?
There service department was busy as usual.

I believe with the incentive package, they are selling like the proverbial "hotcakes".

I'd excuse him for not calling you, I would imagine that the units he gets in are either sold ahead of time or soon after delivery.

I would assume that but wondered about the others. I still buy stuff from them for work and home.
They are the only ones around that make a/c hoses.

I had a chance at one time to buy a crimping machine and a set of dies.
Problem is that there are about 5 different styles and all the dies are expensive.

My local dealer is also just about out of new machines and told me that the only way they've been able to keep up is to swap tractors back and forth with other dealers. Apparently Kubota hasn't been able to deliver enough new tractors to keep up with the demand.

From what I understand Kubota has been sold out for a while. If the dealer does not have a tractor he needs he has to find it at another dealer and hope they will transfer it. I have herd it will be fall before they start getting shipments.

Good to hear, I am glad to hear it is just not the local guy.
Thanks for your input!
This dealer has been around for a long time as farm tractor and lawn tractor repair, just in the last year picked up the Kubota line. He has some good competion, JD & NH in a town of 10,000.

Yeah, I've heard from a couple dealers that the small tractors are selling faster than they can get 'em. Even competing dealers are trading stock back and forth - and they're getting top $$$ for what they're moving.

The larger tractors (L and M series) aren't moving as fast - one local dealer is offering discounts on the M series. But those are pretty good sized - towards the large end of the "compact" scale.
