I have seen many dealers specifically mentioned for PA and many other states, but have not seen many Ohio dealers referred to by name. I have been to three dealers so far, but haven't been particularly thrilled.

I know that I can go through the Kubota website to find dealers, but was hoping that some of you experienced Kubota owners might have dealt with particularly good dealers in Ohio, since that is how I found the three to which I have already been. Specifically mid-Ohio, but am willing to go a little ways. Any input on dealers is greatly appreciated!

I'm in Northeast Ohio ... wasn't particularly thrilled with any immediately around me either. I ended up buying mine from Industrial Equipment of Northern Ohio just east of Toledo.

Industrial Equipment of Northern Ohio

John, the owner, initially spent probably a good hour and a half on the phone with me (after closing time) discussing our needs and intended uses ..... He and his wife, Kathy (I think) were great to deal with. They are a fairly small operation and seem focused on good service - their prices were competitive as well.

I did have to haul the tractor home myself, because of how busy he was at the time and how far it was from my home (3 hours)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information, I will definitely give them a call. It is strange, you would think that the dealers would really want new business and would work for it. However, too often I almost get the feeling that I am inconveniencing them.

Any others have any good dealers that they have dealt with?

I've not dealt with them but there is a small one in Minerva, OH. I've talked to them but that's it. They took a JD on trade a few years ago and a buddy of mine bought it from them and he said they were great to deal with.

Unkefer Tractor I believe it is. I know they sell CNH products too.

Here's the link

I ended up buying my L4400 from a dealer near Newark. I was quoted a lower price from the dealer near Delaware, but they seemed more interested in selling the big red ones.
Good luck,
Eric

Thanks all! Your responses tell me that there are several dealers who I should talk to.

Eric: Sounds like you had the same experience I did with Buckeye. Do you know if the one near Newark was Fackler?

I am in Wilmington often, so I will check out the super store.

jvncnt,
Try White-Acres on Hayden Rd in Columbus, an old time dealer. Also Taylor and Sons in Canal Winchester. I couldn't deal with them but maybe someone else can. Lots of stock though.

It depends on how far from the expressway you want to get. Try Ashland Implement in Ashland, fairly near 71 about an hour north of Columbus. About 25 miles eastnortheast of there in a little town called Sterling in northern Wayne County is "my" dealership, Sterling Farm Equipment. They have 3 stores, but only the Sterling one sells Kubota. Lastly that I have personally visited, on the south side of Millersburg in the center of Holmes County is Moores Lawn and Garden. The first two also sell Case and Cadet. Moores sells JD. All are helpful and more than willing to spend time with you. The guys at Moores are limited in the size of the tractors they carry -- no big stuff, and Sterling tends to focus pretty heavily on the serious ag stuff, but they sell a lot of Kubota compacts. Right now, the main shop at Sterling has about 10 150+ hp tractors being repaired or overhauled. If you visit or call Ashland, odds are you will end up talking with one of the owners, not just an employee. If you want to be sure, ask for Steve. I have worked with Sterling for years with my Cadets and Kubota, but only because their Wooster store is closest and they'll take my Kubota up to Sterling if I need them to for no charge. They have also delivered my Cadet to my door for no charge.

I guess if I was you, I'd go with Ashland implement just because they're close to a major highway. Come up 71 to 250. Go west on 250 to 42N, then left at the first light on 42. The first tractor store, right on the corner, is an Agco dealer. Go about 1/4 mile and Ashland Implement is on the left just at the Y intersection. You'll be about 2 miles off 71. If you're coming up, and are into fishing, hunting, shooting, hiking, etc. go east on 250 about 3/4 mile to Fin, Feather, and Fur. It's almost like a Cabela's store but without the aquarium and better prices. Have fun!

Bought my BX from the EMR Dealer Group, aka Kubota of Cincinnati. Great folks to work with.
