Thanks for the help, i tried out both the b3200 and a L3400. The L feels like such a bigger machine, but side by side, while the L was bigger, they are pretty close. the L feels more substantial. My dealer was pushing the L over the B, not sure what way i'm going yet. My brain says B, my ego says L. Another night to think some more. Thanks for all the responses. Anyone with a L with R4's and a loader have any problems on lawns with ruts. Thanks

I don't have "problems" but my L2800 with R4/FEL leaves plenty of "marks" or impressions on the grass that I drive on. Turf tires would help but I think it would still leave an impression. I would go turf and light weight if you are worried about it and have access to a larger TLB.

My choice would be the B3200 TLB, But of course that's what I have and It is quite the ratio of power and nimbleness in a mid size tractor. I do believe that it will do all you have specified without a breaking a stride. But to be fair the BX Series TLB are great and capable tractors. I own a BX23 TLB and I have to tell you this tractor can do it all! I was and still amazed how powerful this BX is, and just remember one good point, It will not leave a lawn all torn up like the B3200 0r the L3400 will do. The B3200 or the L3400 with a loader and backhoe weighs in at over 400olbs, run that over a finished lawn quite a few times and guess what? Maybe the Bx series is what you need?

Every body needs both.

Hello, I am requesting the help of TBN to help me make a decision on a new Kubota. A little back ground on my situation. I have 3 acres of which i want to clear 1 acre to build a barn/workshop. I also own a lawn mowing business. I have access to a full size backhoe which i will use to do the heavy work on my project. What i am looking for is input on what would be a good size tractor to use for the finish work, some landscaping, and to use in my business (hauling mulch, stone, fill, planting trees and bushes.etc). I would like a tractor that could carry a decent size loader, and a backhoe if needed, but also be turf friendly. I don't see many powered implements being used right now, but maybe a mower or tiller in the future. I like the size of the l3400 and the options on the grand l's, are they too big? would they dig up a lawn? and i don't know if the b's are too small. Any input would be great, or what model you think would best suite my needs. thanks

Does you business require the FEL for loading material into a dump truck, dump trailer or something equivalent? If so, then you need to be sure that your FEL can raise the bucket sufficiently high. For example, I had a 21 hp (engine) Kubota B7510HST with the LA302 FEL (4-ft wide bucket) that was fine for the landscaping work I did when my new house was being build a few years ago. But it didn't lift high enough to load a normal size dump truck. I traded that 7510 for a 54 hp (engine) Mahindra 5525 with the ML250 FEL (6-ft wide bucket). The 10-1/2-foot lift on the ML250 is more than enough to load a dump truck.

With only 3 acres, you probably don't want a 54 hp tractor. But be sure you get the tractor/FEL combo that satisfies your present and future needs.

The only thing I have trouble with on my B7610 is loader height. For all the rest the smaller size and places it can get into more than offset the smaller bucket/load etc.

My r4's don't do anymore harm to the lawn than a bunch of young kids tearing around can do. Stay out of 4wd on the lawn!

Well i am happy to say that Brady at Barlow's gave me a great deal on a l3400, if the wife says yes, that is what i'm going with. I spent too many sleepless nights going back and forth, Brady leaned me to the L3400. I'll post pics as soon as i can. Thanks so much to everyone that chimed it.

If you don't mind my asking - How much?
I'm considering the L3400 or L4400 myself, and I was wondering how much you paid. I would also like to know what extra's you may have got throwed in; such as a toothbar for the FEL, or your rear tires loaded - and how much a mile to ship?
Also - did you happen to get a Backhoe? If so, how much $$$? I may give them a try, if I think it's worth it.

You should at least get a quote from Brady it will definitely keep your dealer honest.

I may give them a try, if I think it's worth it.

Don't be afraid. They don't also sell timeshares. Just call or email, they may give you a better deal :). Go ahead, do it. Just because they pulled me in 8 times in 5 years you may be able to resist their great prices and easy sell attitude. Go ahead, Do it. Find out for yourself. Don't give them your phone number or real name!:D
