Kubota drop in Fuel Tank strainer-filter

M5030DT. Last of full size Kubotas of that series in the early 80s. With Canadian steel cab, loaded tires and loader was just shy 10,000#. Twice the steel of newer tractors of that hp. Loved the rumble of that inline 6 cylinder. I did 4x4 and square bales with no trouble using shuttle shift. 5030 one tuff machine.

Here is the link to the list of models this should fit. Kubota: FUEL FILTER NET, Part # 35450-41060
My old B9200 has one. I broke out the bottom of one by using a funnel that had too long a neck and leaning a full fuel jug on the funnel. The dealer had a replacement. I have a funnel with a shorter neck now. I recently started using a AA battery powered pump that screws onto the fuel jug. It also has an auto shutoff sensor. The hose could be a little longer, but I can sit the fuel jug on the step and clip the nozzle to the fuel tank inlet.
The parts list for B9200 shows the number you listed plus one other due to serial number break. 13251-41060 is the other one.

Been told by various posters that they do not exist. Early Kubota tractors came with them but at some point in time, Kubota quit installing them.

They do exist and you can get one (or more) from ANY Kubota dealer. I don't know if they will fit the late model plastic tanks, but they will fit everything else and probably other makes as well. They come with an expander ring that you can remove if not necessary. I have 2 of them one in each of my M9 tanks. Keeps any debris like grass or leaves or small sicks out and insures the fuel flow to the engine mounted filters will not get impeded due to a plugged pickup fitting in the fuel tank.

Kubota Part number is: 35450-41060

Your friendly Kubota parts department can get you one or more.

The cost is around 10 bucks. Well worth, good insurance against junk in your fuel tank
I got this from Amazon and it fits perfectly in my BX-25D:

I had two Kubota tractors in the 1990's that came equipped with these drop in filters. They work well for keeping out leaves, twigs and small rocks but they let the fine stuff through. I still had to replace the tractor fuel filter a couple of times a year.

I use fuel oil and depending on the source, it can be fairly dirty. Eventually, I began using an in line filter in the fuel filler hose.

I replace the cartridge filter once a year and now get 4 or 5 years out of a tractor fuel filter.

I find the parts counter staff can’t find the Wholegoods parts without some help.

I wanted B26 backhoe bucket ears. The parts tech looked and looked. Got the service manager help to look. Then was told the only way to get ears was to buy another bucket and cut them off. Showed them again the Wholegoods list and price of what I wanted on my phone. Got a salesmen and helped them order just the blank ears. Lot depends on your dealer’s knowledge too.

Similar issue on a M59 bonnet protector except when you mention Wholegoods to Messicks they transfer you to sales staff. Great customer service.
Thats because wholegoods is through sales, not parts. If you need anything from the wholegoods catalog go straight to a salesman.

I would have posted the part number a long time ago, but I tossed the bag. Was bugging me after a poster told me I was FOS. If I comment on something on here, it's not fantasy ever.
Once again, the fuel fill opening on a BX is not the same size as the opening on an M9000!!!!!!!!! Kubota does not offer a drop-in screen for the BX series tractor.
Most of the construction equipment comes with a drop-in screen to this day, but it will not fit the tractor that the poster has either.

Again, not sure as mine are M's. Like I said, the filter ships with expansion rings that I discarded. My whole point of the thread was, I was told on here that I was FOS and I'm proving I wasn't FOS. The poster who said I was, was FOS and if he reads this...He is FOS.
You are still FOS, it will not fit the tractor the poster was wanting one for. Once again, Kubota does not offer a drop-in strainer for his tractor. You seem to have a problem with TRUTH and FACTS.

So I bought these from Messicks and they arrived today. They fit fine on both my L2650 and my L3200. I’ll need a way to seal them somehow as when I put my large funnel in it it wants to fall over.

But they’ll be good for when I drive them down the road to get diesel at the gas station to strain any crap out coming from the pump.
