Kubota F2560 speed control pedal won't return to neutral

I was mowing in forward when it felt like something gave way.The speed control pedal went all the way forward and wouldn't return to the neutral position on its own. I can still move forward and reverse but now I have to "feel" for the neutral position. Has anyone had this problem?

I have this same problem on my Mahindra 2538, I can't seem to find any information on it. I was told the HST system is supposed to return to neutral on it's own., but getting under the tractor today I see what looks like a helper spring and cam to center the pedals to neutral it not moving freely, i greased it and still very tight. Today I will remove the split ring and clear out the bushing and see if that helps.
