Kubota F3036 Hyrostatic drive problem

Hi brand new to this ..... My question... I have a Kubota F3036 up front grass cutter year 2000 model everything works fine with the exception of the transmission.... if I could explain, when I start it, it runns fine for the first 5 to 10 minutes then it starts gradually to lose speed up to the pont were eventually it barely move at all... engine speed stay the same it just does not want to move forward or backwards no matter how hard I press the control pedal ..... all this is acompanied by a wirling noise which increases the harder I push th econtrol pedel ... So far I've tried changing the transmission oil and fitted a new hydraulic oil filter but there is no improvement

Please can anyone shed a little light on how to fix this as the grass is getting higher every day

There are a couple of things but not the best with out some gauges hooked to it! I do assume you used Kubota's products?

Hi Art, yes Filter used was kubota as was the hydraulic oil

What you likely hear is the HST pressure relief valve opening.

Since you can not go F or R, and your HST seems to be trying Really Hard,
perhaps it is encountering an excessive load. This could be from a
frozen up wheel bearing, a failed final drive gear, twine wrapped
around an axle, etc. Can you put the drive in neutral and push the mower?

Good Idea but have checked the F3036 and it does move back and forth without to much effort also jacked up the wheels one at a time and they all turn without binding so still searching for a solution. But thanks for your imput

Have you tried cleaning the pickup screen?

Opps! the Kubota is a F3060 not as ealier stated an F3036 sorry for any confussion

have looked for a pickup screen on this Kubota because I had heard it can cause problems if it gets chocked but spent over an hour this morning looking for one but so far unable to find it and not sure if this F3060 has a screen..... unless you know better

Not at all familiar with Kubota "F" series but a couple of general questions.

1) You say it runs fine for 5- 10 minutes and then gradually slows down.

1a) Based on this the inlet screen/strainer is probably not plugged. It would cause the most problems with cold oil.

2) Does the trans-axle get hot quickly? I mean so hot you can't touch it.
2a) If yes you have a leak some where in your system that is increasing with temperature.

I would not run the unit much until you get a manual on trouble shooting and or diagnostics. These trannies are expensive to repair or replace.

Hi, did manage to find the strainer it was right at the very bottom of the hyro drive holding the retun pipe to the side of the unit checked this and it was pretty clear appart for a few minute bits of rubber... but gave it a good clean anyway and replace it tried the F3060 but there was little or no improvement .... I was wondering if it could be anything to do with the CYL-BLOCK PUMP or the CYL-BLOCK MOTOR inside the HST transission because that seems to be where most of the whinnie noise is coming from when you have to increase the pedel fully to try and maintain forward motion.. Oh did check the diff and it wasnt reallt hot
but any advice welcome and many thanks to all that have already responded
