Does anyone here have a Kubota brand front blade, or know someone who does? I'd really like to get one, I just don't have the time to finish making my own /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, and my local dealer just quoted me $3800.00 + tax,, to get a new one /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. Does that sound right? No, I don't want one of the Curtis loader mount units as I think there is the potential for damage to my loader arms, they put more weight in the wrong area, and they are just TOO BIG to be very manuverable for my driveway or yard work. I also e-mailed Carver for a quote but haven't rec'vd a reply yet.

We paid $1200. for a kubota #2019 60" power angle front blade, 3 or 4 years ago. It was well made and had 2 trip springs.

Yeah, that seems like a reasonable price, the unit I need is a #2172 and is a 6' blade. I just received a reply from Carver that stated Kubota no longer makes a front blade for a L3010 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I guess I'll try calling a few other dealers in another state to double check my quote.

Was that new from a Kubota dealer? That is more what I had in mind for the price.

Yes that was new from Kubota dealer. It is a very heavy front blade. I have used it alot with snow and a little with dirt. very well built.

If you put a plow blade on your kubota loader you a asking for trouble, blade on the tractor is the way to go. I know because i've been there and done that. Nothing in the world could convince me to put a blade on the end of my brand new 403 fel.

Well, as an update, last Sat.(11/12), I called MB Tractor in N.H. for another opinion on a front blade price for my L3010. It was late in the day for them, so I really didn't expect an answer, and the salesman said he would get in touch with me the following week ( Monday or there abouts). Wed. night I hadn't heard anything, so I called again, spoke with a receptionist, and was told the salesman was outside with a customer, so I left a voice mail asking him to call me as soon as reasonably possible. Today, 11/17 at noon time, I still hadn't heard anything, so I e-mailed the same salesman, and asked him to call me regarding the blades info. Later this afternoon I received a reply to my e-mail from the salesman at MB, stating he was sorry for the delay in responding, and that he had a price for a Q/A loader plate, and Q/A front blade that would be "about the same money", and "I think it would work better for you". Now, that doesn't sound like a very good answer to a specific request for a Kubota factory front blade does it? I still have to call him back when I get home from work, but I just have to wonder, I've been quoted $3800 from my local dealer, been e-mailed by Carver Eq. that Kubota no longer makes a front blade assy. for the L3010, and received a reply from MB that was just the opposite of a very specific request for a product, and at the same time I've seen replies to this thread from other owners who have paid much less than $3800 for their blades. What is wrong with ths picture??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I feel like my local dealer is too high in his quote, and maybe Carvers and MB salesman isn't really taking my request seriously. Sorry for the rambling post, but all I want to do is buy a non- loader arm front blade for my tractor, and I can't get one for what seems like a reasonable price without major frustration.

Hey, Kingoflawns. Why the bad karma with the FEL mounted snow blade? Got a horror story?

Not to hijack the thread or anything.
