Hey, kingoflawns, I see you're from Ma., do you have a front blade, and if so, where did you get it? Thanks.

I'm not sure, But I think that Carver has gotten away from quoting any prices for anything on this board or via the internet.
I had requested some prices a long time ago, and it like applying for a position with the FBI. Disclaimers, waivers, secrecy agreements etc. But then I think they got away from "that" and would quote a price in a private email.

But now... I rarely see them respond to anything.

Steve Carver used to be VERY active on this board and seemed like to great person to deal with AND very knowledgeable.

So I would suggest a phone call instead of an email. You might get better response.

Tim
Good Luck

Tim, that might be a good idea. I'm sure that most busineses get too many e-mails each day to really determine who is price shopping and who is serious.

I just sold my 2019 front blade & 2650 front snowblower to itsgottabegreen lawn care, good kid,he made the journey up from maryland but it was worth it as i sold him both for 2 grand. He has a horror story about bent loader arms from a loader mounted plow! I have a post storm snowblowing gig, and now have a B2782 (beast) snowblower and an awsome fact cab B3030. Nobody is more pumped up for snow than me! Scott.

I talked to the salesman at MB Tractor on Saturday morning, it looks like a Kubota brand ft. blade assy. from them would cost me approximately $3300. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thats allot of coin but I'm convinced that is a better solution that a FEL mounted blade for most of us. I can go to the front of my FEL and move it laterally, out of sync with the tractor, not much, but it moves. And that's nothing compared to the lateral load imposed by snow removal on an angled blade 10 or 12' forward of the FEL attach points. The direct mount blade is more maneauverable (closer) and would have less unloading of the rear tires when the blade is up and your just repositioning, too. In the plow down position the unloading of the rear would be moot though. I set mine up for a front power angle on the FEL. More I thought and read, less I like it. That said, many members have that setup, use it regular, and haven't destroyed anything. Many like it. Common sense keeps them out of trouble I suppose. And there is an advantage to the FEL mounted blade. If your removing a blizzard worth of snow and don't have a blower, it will pile the snow as high a needed.

That is a few dollars but bent loader arms will run more! My 2782 snowblower was $4438. The blade on the tractor is sweet, you can get in tight areas, you can see way better and it's manufacturer engineered! Some guys use rear blades, i think they are useless, JMHO. Scott.
