Kubota Factory Rebates

Yeah, I'm kninda hoping someone has heard the same thing. I just took delivery last week on a L3010DT and am just renting so far. I WILL buy it (I love the machine), but the rebate is estimated to be $1000 for this machine ($850 tractor, $150 FEL). I am renting a posthole digger from my dealer this weekend, I will ask what info he has. The last time I asked, he was totally different than what KCC lists on the website. Yes, the rates are very attractive right now. 5.9% for up to 60 months. And maybe a $1000 off. Sweet.

O.K., so I think I have the straight scoop from my dealer, whom I visited with today.

From what I understand, these incentives are always present. The dealer gets cash back on every tractor he sells. The amount changes with inventory adjustments and such, so sometimes you can get a better deal than at other times.

The incentives he quoted me were currently $100 for b7500's and $250 for b2410's, and an additional $100 for the loader. See my post under a new thread for addtl. details.

While I have no actual "information" on these settlement allowances, I do have an opinion. They sound exactly like the dealer hold-backs when you buy a car. Whenever a dealer buys a car (they have to buy them from the manufacturer as they go into inventory on the lot), they pay the dealer invoice price. However, when a dealer SELLS the car, they get a rebate, called the dealer hold-back. This typically ranges from 1-3% of STICKER price. I think its called dealer hold-back because the manufacturer holds it back from the dealer until he sells it. Settlement allowance sounds like some predetermined amount of money that Kubota will provide the dealer as an allowance after he "settles" the deal with the customer.
