Jeff; Is this insurance from Kubota? It says "Kubota endorsed" ?

My understanding is the insurance from the dealer is from Kubota's finance

If you finance a tractor through Kubota you are required to have KTAC insurance and no other.

Exactly what the relationship is is a question best posed to KTAC. I am sure KTAC is asked about its relationship with Kubota every day.

Anyone electing to finance with KCC is required to insure the equipment (full coverage) at all times. The exact same property damage insurance requirement you would have when financing a car for example. A typical homeowner policy does not protect against accidental damage (if you run into something versus something running into you) plus it won't protect you off your property. Because a typical homeowner policy doesn't meet this requirement, some believe you are forced to buy insurance through KTAC but this isn't true. Again, you are required to have full coverage insurance both on and off your property so as long as your policy has this you are okay.

KTAC is a Kubota owned insurance agency that provides great coverage (on and off property), transportation cost, low deductible and will even pay you the original sales price of the equipment (minus tax/fees/deductible and other restrictions). We are the only insurance agency that cares if you buy another Kubota or not.

Correct, it is not required & I suspect that requirement would be illegal. Chances are you won't find a better deal or better coverage though (I found more expensive coverage that covered less when I looked).

when i first took out Nationwide home owners insurance, back about 87 or so, the policy covered my tractor for loss/theft: a few years ago, i mentioned that to my agent, and he said they had stopped that a long time ago, because there were so many complaints from people that didn't have things like tractors, 4wheelers etc etc..so i had to have a separate policy to cover that equipment.

Be careful with this because it varies between states. In my state, home owners insurance only covers up to $15,000.00 for yard equipment and insurance providers are not required to offer additional coverage, for me, KTAC was my only option. I don't know how farmers protect their equipment something I will ask my dealer about.

Chances are that they are covered by inland marine policies.

My homeowners only covers 1 lawn mower up to $5000.
I have an inland marine policy for the tractor.
