Hi all,

I have only recently been in position to purchase a BX24. I had been planning on using Kubota's three year interest fee program for a new BX24 to finance part or all of the purchase.

However, I just noticed that the new financing announced on the Kubota website (as of January 1, 2008) no longer offers the three year option. See their site at Kubota Tractor Corporation - Promotional Rates

I wish someone could enlighten me on this exclusion for the BX 24 while the rest of the BX line is eligible.

The program now appears to allow 12-24 months interest free, but not 36 months. Would it be reasonable to expect that when the new financing quarter begins in April of 08 that this three year option might reappear? I had some pretty decent quotes (Rocky Mountain region) from several dealers.

So while I was hoping to take delivery on a BX 24 by the end of this month now I think I will reconsider JD, NH, Kioti, etc. if they have a stronger interest free option. I would be open to any recommendations on alternative tractors. I could easily wait until April to make it happen.

My needs are as follows: Same general size and specs of the BX24 due to storage limitations, Preferred trailer size is 14 foot however I might go to a 16 footer if needed, small backhoe is a requirement. Most all of my jobs are light to moderate duty: Light brush mowing, occasional snow removal, light to moderate loader work, no need for a MMM, backhoe work down to about 4-6 foot max, hilly work is primarily going up and down but no real side to side across the slope work.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Happy New Year,

Sam

Yikes, no more free money. Took delivery of my BX24 on 11/09/07. Was looking to wait till the spring, but when I saw Deere pulled it, I figured Kubota would be next. I guessed right, that doesn't happen often.

It's not that unusual to see companies shorten up their terms for 0 % financing at the start of a new year. This has been a trend with Kubota for the past few years. Typically sales are usually slower in the first quarter of a new year, most buyers in my area have little need for new equipment until closer to the start of the second quarter and we see a flurry of end of the year purchases for tax purposes. By discontinuing the longer 0 interest terms at the start of the new year some buyers move up thier purchases to take advantage of the longer terms, thus helping companies like Kubota reach their sales goals. Now after the first of the year they can start out with lessor incentives and see what the market trends are and what other companies are doing and adjust their strategies accordingly. In my area if someone is buying in the first quarter it is out of necessity or to make sure they have the equipment available when they need it not because of a incentive program.

Kubota did the same thing last January through March of 2007. Then for the Spring they brought back the supposedly "free" financing for 3 years on most models.

Hold off and wait until the 0/36 comes back, unless you really, really, really NEED to get your new machine before April.

Kubota has offered 0/36 on the BX and B series off and on over the last few years, and they'll offer it again - you just need to be a little patient.

By the way, the "free" financing is already calculated into the price of the machine, and if you notice, the prices don't drop when the "free" financing goes away temporarily, so no sense in paying the same price AND paying for financing because you can't wait for the longer term 0% to come back.

Thanks for the thoughts. Just what I was hoping to hear. We'll see. I am waiting for now.
