Since this is my first time buying a tractor i have a question in regards to financing. Is a tractor any tougher to finance then a vehicle? Does a person have to be rock solid to get approved? I am going to put 10k down on a 30k package. Just curious........i know it's an odd question....thanks in adavance for your response.

Financing a tractor seemed like a piece of cake to me. just as easy as any car loan.

If a customer has a good credit history it takes me longer to put the credit application into the system than it does for Kubota credit to approve it.

I don't want to discourage you but Kubota absolutely wouldn't approve me for their Financing. I am just a young farmer that doesn't have a lot of credit history so my father-in-law co-signed for me and they still wouldn't approve me. In the last 5 years my father-in-law bought 2 new John Deeres and used their financing, never had a late payment and just made the last payment 3 months ago and they said he doesn't have enough credit history??? By the way my dealer also sells Case IH and they approved me without any co-signer and no hassle. I must have just caught Kubota in the wrong mood. I hope you don't have any problems and let me know how it turns out. Good- Luck

It was the easiest financing I ever went through! Best wishes!:)

Kubota is more picky than CNH when it comes to credit. They is no question about that. Kubota is very cut and dry, they never bend terms or make exceptions for someone who is marginal. CNH is alot more used to seeing farmers with high debt loads and is way more flexible in putting together a financing plan for someone. Both are easy companies to work with, way better than Agri-Credit, Sheffield, GE and many of the other equipment financing companies.

I just was approved for my 3rd kubota loan in 8 years. Im in serious debt, but most self employed people are! I always paid them on time, my salesmen told me that was the big deal with them, not my existing debt. As soon as my 3030 is sold i can get my L3540. I was pleased with an apr of 3.9 for 60 months, i could never get that rate elsewhere.

I just financed my second tractor with Kubota, my first one was 2 1/2 years ago. I had auto-draft with the old tractor and paid an extra $80/month to get it paid off early. No problem on getting the new tractor financed, even though I have purchased two vehicles in the last 6 months.

Hey Lawn_King,
Can I ask why you are selling your B3030 so soon? Have you had problems with it, or did it turn out to not be enough tractor for your landscaping (landscaping correct?) business?
Thanks,
Trav

My 3030 has been great no problems at all. Im going to the L because i need more machine. Im boom spraying a 110 acre cemetery, core aerating 10 & 20 acre athletic feild sites, fertilizing lawns as large as 15 acres. My snow business has grown as well, and loading my dumptruck and other dumptrucks is a problem. I have to drive the front tires up railroad timber ramps i built to gain enough height. By jumping up to the L, I solve all my issues. I attain more hp at the engine & pto, more 3 pt lift capacity and the 724 is a big time loader! I gain lots of fel lift capacity and the 724 will load any 6 wheeler and some triaxles! The 724 with Q A bucket & forks will also save time and has the power to lift heavy pallets of materials in and out of my trucks. The intellapanel has a digital read out of ground speed, this will allow me to apply fertilizer, seed and control products at a very precise rate (lbs per 1000 sq. ft.) saving me money. The hst + is an amazing tranny, i was intimidated by it at first, but i now understand how it works, and i can see where h-ds and auto h-ds is going to save me a lot of time. 8 years ago when i purchased my b7500 i looked at the L's and thought someday, i had that same thought 3 years ago when i purchased my B3030, well someday is here. These are the facts i used to talk myself into buying the L.
