Loggers were at our place today, so I discovered just about the max load. If I bounced the FEL it would bounce the rear tires off the ground.
I normally add rear ballast (box blade) when using the front loader for heavy stuff. But one time I had to go down the street to fill in a large pothole on our (then new) main road, and didn't bother to hook up the box. I scooped up a load of crusher run, and as is habit, jiggled the loader lever to level off the pile and minimize spillage when driving out. Well, that made the tractor rear end bounce so bad I had a stiff neck the next morning. The small L series have such a short wheelbase, it doesn't take a lot to get the rear end hopping.
