That ATI link does not look like what I was expecting from the Kubota dealer. I think he was just talking about putting the mounting and bucket from a larger tractor, perhaps like the B3350, on my B3200. I can double-check that tomorrow. But, I'm pretty sure that everything he was going to use was Kubota. I just gathered that he was going to use the "adapter" from a larger tractor. Perhaps the B3350. The FEL was definitely not the standard 60 inch FEL for the B3200. I suspect that what he was going to do is what you suggest.

I have to admit that if it is not too late (he said he had to order the FEL and attachment), I suspect I will go with the SSQA attachment and buy forks from someone else. The cost of my Kubota deal will go down a little, but that should not be a problem since the 0% financing was already approved for the higher amount. And, I have decided that I am going to order the "thumb" for the BH. The more I look at it, and the more I look at the kind of work that I need to do immediately (pulling stumps, clearing brush, pulling arborvitae bushes, moving blown over pine bushes) the more I realize that I need a thumb.

That is what the link showed.

yes go with the Bobcat universal quick attach - you will never regret it. As for palate forks I have 42 inch ones made by Ansung - Terra Force. Got them from my equipment dealer. They are rated at about 2500 which gives a safety margin. Got that brand as that is what they use to rent out. You may be able to find a used set too.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the all of the suggestions. I talked to the dealer, again, today, thinking I would go for the SSQA style attachments. He told me, however, that Kubota does not have an "approved" SSQA attachment for the B3200HSD. And, he said that the reason for that was because the attachment that they use on heavier tractors is at least 100 pounds heavier. Add to that the fact that most forks weight at least another hundred pounds more than the Kubota forks (which I verified) and you end up loosing at least 20% of your lifting capacity. The B3200HSD FEL is only rated at about 1000 pounds. So, depending on the forks, you could end up with only 700-800 pounds of capacity if you go with SSQA style.

So, I opted to go with the Kubota forks. The price is about the same, but I will have more lifting capacity. Also, the dealer was well aware of the ATI attachment, but said it is heavier, again, than the Kubota pallet fork frame that is made for the B3200HSD. But, if at some point in the future I decide that I just have to have some front attachment other than a bucket or a pallet fork (which is not likely) I can always buy the ATI adapter and any SSQA compatible attachment I want.

I did order the thumb attachment for the BH, however, since that looks like a really useful item, especially given some of the land clearing that I need to do. I should get it later this week. Then I will have to find a post hole digger and a rototiller.

I have the Bob-tach and love it.

Get quick attach forks and adapter. Industry standard. The adapter should be an option for your loaded.

It really depends on what attachments you want. If you have availability of all the attachments right at the dealer then that's fine but on any more of a capable tractor I wouldn't pass up the SSQA setup.

Sounds like a good decision, SSQA and the associated implements are just too much for a tractor this size. I had made an adapter to use SSQA forks on my B3200 and honestly they were just too big for the tractor. The Kubota brand forks would be just right, but were a little too much money for me, so I'll probably build a small set someday. The Kubota pin type quick attach is really easy to build attachments for.

Hmmm good point on the weight vs tractor size. I agree.
