Kubota forward-reverse pedal

Fortunately, the lawn mower (JD) and the tractor (Kioti) are both the same two pedal design. Before the Kioti, I had the Kubota single long pedal. I got along fine with it and I get along fine with the two pedal system. I don't think it makes a lot of difference. both worked fine for me.

Sounds similar to Harley Davidson shifters. Some, like me prefer the heel/toe shifter while others prefer the single lever and use their toe for the upshifts.

The older Harleys had a heel/toe clutch that was a real pain. Trying to feather the clutch with your left foot while making a short left u-turn with your left foot on the ground for balance..........

Sounds like some finessing to me! My wife has a heel/toe on her Deluxe but still prefers to use her toe. After 18 or so years on the same old Fat Boy I can't imagine being without a heel/toe.

My BX2230 and B26TLB have the single rocker/treadle pedals. I kinda operate them as s219 says. Toe on the pedal for forward while the heal is on the floor, and the opposite for reverse. However I do keep the full foot on the pedal when I want to immediately change directions. ie geting up close to something.

For me I have seen some the the rocker pedals the the pivot is under the floor board. And the two pedals are further apart then my foot is long. Then I could not have my foot on both to creep up to things.

Dad on the other hand has problems with the single pedal on his BX2230. Had knee replacement and the movement of the pedal is hard for him to do. He does it but complains when the opportunity arises. He also has an old Cub Cadet with the two pedals side by side. Reverse pedal is very hard to push and the tractor does not respond very good. No torque to get over a bump backwards. Jon

You must be talking about the gearshift rather than the clutch?
